A short romantic comedy book
Events manager Arabelle Rose has it all: A great career and handsome and suave partner of ten years, Paul Proffit. But her world is about to crumble when she takes the wrong suitcase home from Logan’s package carousel.
After returning the language to the rightful owner, Lea Evergreen, Arabelle discovers that Paul has been cheating on her with Lea.
Arabelle convinces Lea to fool Paul the same way he did with them.
Her Him and I is a romantic comedy novella. The quick, fun, light read contains themes of infidelity, falling in love, a love triangle, friendship, and trust in yourself.
Her Him and I was is the very first book I ever wrote. The first few drafts were still in German, and I was quickly discouraged from doing anything with it as neither of my friends was that encouraging. Self-publishing had such a bad rep that I let the idea rest. After re-reading my book, the story would lend itself to a movie script. So, I signed up for a screenwriting class in London; I used to live in the UK and turned the basic idea into a screenplay. Prompted by that shift in writing style, I dipped my toes into the quest of finding an agent and pitching my script at events. I have many thoughts about that whole process. I didn’t find an agent; needless to say, Her Him and I is not a movie.
As life has it, I shelved my writing hobby and all the ideas I wrote down.
Only after publishing Say What Now? I pulled the first drafts, screenplays, and notes back to write something quickly. I wanted to write a novella. Writing a novel takes a long time.
However, using more than ten-year-old writing material proved to be challenging.
Regardless, because of Her Him and I, I decided to give Arabelle Rose, sisters Mirabelle Rose and Isabelle Rose, and a best friend, Yvette, who will be diving into their romance sub-genres.
